Dear Gene Carter Team,
Greetings from Myrtle Beach,
After last month’s massive batch of statistics, I’ll keep this month’s newsletter brief (but with all the usual reports). I'll touch on real estate but first I want to address the subject foremost in all of our minds - coronavirus and the measures being taken to control its spread. The first case on the Grand Strand was confirmed Sunday (3-15-2020). Schools are closed for the next few weeks and a number of events have been cancelled or postponed. I have not yet heard of any closings for area restaurants, shows, attractions, etc. but this could change. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
It has been a very busy spring for resort condo sales so far but the uncertainty of the current situation could impact activity in the coming weeks. However, I don’t believe this event will have a long-term impact on the Grand Strand’s real estate market or the local economy. People will still want to move here, buy vacation homes here, and visit here. So any buying or selling decisions currently being contemplated don’t necessarily need to change. Please contact me or Teressa if you have any questions regarding buying, selling or anything else we can help you with.
That’s all for now. Stay safe!

See you at the beach!
